Περνώντας σε μια διαφορετική μουσική επιλογή, έρχονται οι Paradise Lost.

Πέρασαν από πολλά στάδια και γι αυτό έχουν οπαδούς από πολλούς μουσικούς χώρους. Από death, doom, gothic μέχρι και στοιχεία ηλεκτρονικής μουσικής μπορεί να βρει κανεις στους δίσκους τους. Ανεξάρτητα όμως από το είδος το οποίο προσέγγιζαν κάθε φορα, η ποιότητα της μουσικής παρέμενε εξαιρετικά υψηλή με κορυφαίες στιγμές τα Icon (1993), Draconian Times (1995) και One Second (1997).

Η μπάντα πάρα τα 21 χρόνια πορείας έχει κρατήσει ένα αρκετά σταθερό line-up, αλλάζοντας μόνο 2 φορές στη θέση του drummer.

Πέρυσι βγάλανε στην αγορά το εξαιρετικό In Requiem. Enjoy.

Η Polly Jean Harvey γεννήθηκε το 1969 και δεν είναι κόρη του Mick Harvey, των Bad Seeds. Έτυχε όμως και ασχολήθηκε και αυτή με το χώρο της μουσικής. Ευτυχώς για εμάς...

Με τη βοήθεια περιστασιακών συνεργατών έχει 7 δίσκους μέχρι σήμερα, με τελευταίο το White Chalk που ακολουθεί.

Τεράστια μορφή. Σκοτεινός, αινιγματικός και μυστηριώδης. Μουσικός, συνθέτης, συγγραφέας, σεναριογράφος και περιστασιακά ηθοποιός. Ξεκίνησε με τους Birthday Party και μετά τη διάλυσή τους, συνεχίζει μέχρι και σήμερα είτε με τους Bad Seeds, είτε μόνος του.

Τα τραγούδια του καταπιάνονται με το τετράπτυχο θρησκεία-βία-αγάπη-θάνατος και η Ελλάδα αγαπά τον Nick Cave... Μας έρχεται και πάλι για 2 συναυλίες μέσα στον Ιούνιο, με το νέο του δίσκο Dig Lazarus, Dig!

Morrissey - Athens 2002

Σήμερα λέω να ξεκινήσω ένα κύκλο με καλλιτέχνες που για μένα έχουν μια συνοχή.

Πρώτος στη λίστα o Steven Patrick Morrissey, ή πιο απλά σκέτο Morrissey. Αν και υπήρξε μέλος κάποιων συγκροτημάτων σε νεαρή ηλικία, γνώρισε τη δημοσιότητα όταν σχημάτισε μαζί με τον Johnny Marr, τους Smiths. Μετά το 1987 και την διάλυση των Smiths ακολούθησε πετυχημένη σόλο καριέρα.

Ιδιαίτερα έντονη προσωπικότητα, εχει συζητηθεί για πολλούς λόγους. Καταρχήν οι σχέσεις του με την μουσική βιομηχανία ποτέ δεν υπήρξαν και οι καλύτερες, σε σημείο αλμπουμ του να μην βρίσκουν διανομή και ο ίδιος να μένει χωρίς δισκογραφικό συμβόλαιο για αρκετά χρόνια.
Αλλά και με άλλους καλλιτέχνες δεν έχει τις καλύτερες των σχέσεων, με πιο γνωστούς τους Cure, Manic Street Preachers κ.α.

Άνθρωπος με έντονο πολιτικό και κριτικό λόγο, χορτοφάγος από τα 11 χρόνια του, εχει υπάρξει στόχος έντονης κριτικής ως ρατσιστής και ομοφιλόφυλος (σημεία αμφισβητούμενα μέχρι σήμερα).

Τρίτος και καλύτερος. Βγήκε στην αγορά το 1985 και σηματοδότησε το τέλος τς πρώτης περιόδου του συγκροτήματος και μια στροφή προς τον Ιρλανδικό ήχο.

Περιέχει το γνωστότερο τραγούδι τους Whole Of The Moon, καθώς και το The Pan Within, με άμεση αναφορά στον αρχαιοελληνικό θεό. Αυτό βέβαια δεν σημαίνει πως τα υπόλοιπα τραγούδια του δίσκου υστερούν, σε καμιά περίπτωση.

Cypress Hill - Black Sunday

Δεύτερος δίσκος του συγκροτήματος και πιθανότατα ο καλύτερός τους. Είναι ένας δίσκος που άφησε εποχή, γιατί βοήθησε τα μέγιστα στο λεγόμενο crossover δηλαδή το να έρθουν οι Cypress κοντά στο κοινό που άκουγε rock.

Tα τραγούδια περιέχουν και πολλά samples από Dusty Springfield και James Brown μέχρι Sly & The Family Stone και Black Sabbath. Περιέχει τέλος και το χιτάκι Insane in the brain.

Kyuss - Queens of the Stone Age - Split

Λόγω της ημέρας, το πρόγραμμα σήμερα περιλαμβάνει μια από τις αγαπημένες μου μπάντες, τους Kyuss. Αρχιερείς του stoner rock, έβαλαν τον πήχυ πολύ ψηλά και φυσικά κανένας δεν τους ξεπέρασε...

Εδώ είναι ένα link για το split ΕΡ που έβγαλαν μαζί με τους QOTSA το 1997 μετά τη διάλυσή τους. Φυσικά, μέλη των QOTSA είναι ο Josh Homme (κιθάρα - ιδρυτικό μέλος των Kyuss) και ο Alfredo Hernandez (ντραμς - μέλος από το 1994).
